Chakra Balancing
Chakra balancing is the desired result of all types of energy healing modalities. When our chakras are balanced, we’re balanced. Everything flows easily, there is no stress, and we enjoy the playground of life on Earth. (Yes, really.)
All of the seven chakras in your body have an ideal balance at which they send out the frequency that attracts what you want. This is how manifestation works. But when the chakras are out of balance, we’re unable to generate the right frequency. Thus we have challenges in our lives and our bodies and minds show symptoms of dis-ease.
Why We Need to Cleanse the Chakras
Some people refer to cleansing chakras. I prefer balancing. It’s just not nice to feel dirty.
Our chakras become unbalanced because of the experiences we go through in life. For example, if we were raised by fearful parents (and most of us were), our root chakra will have become unbalanced at an early age. This leads to beliefs such as “life’s a struggle” or “I’m not safe” or “there’s never enough.”
These beliefs, held in the unconscious, keep the root chakra out of balance. They will impact us until the beliefs can be processed and released, helping to bring the root chakra back into balance. Alternatively, we can use energy work to energetically bring the root chakra back into balance so that the beliefs come to our awareness for processing and releasing.
Sometimes we don’t even have to become aware of the beliefs. A shift occurs and suddenly we realize, hey, there’s nothing to fear here! I’m perfectly safe, there’s more than enough, and life’s a cakewalk.
Balancing Act
Your chakras are always trying to achieve a balanced state. If you have a lot of energy blockages, their signals might not be getting through to you, but they are always bringing stuff and experiences into your life to help create balance.
That wheel of Brie you sometimes succumb to? That’s your solar plexus chakra trying to get what it needs to balance. No need to feel guilty! If chocolate’s your go-to treat, your third eye chakra is taking some of what it needs.
Your physical symptoms of dis-ease are also your chakras calling to you. “Dude,” they’re calling, “there’s something out of balance here and you need to address it.” If you don’t address it or choose to suppress the symptom with allopathic medication without fixing the source of the problem, your chakra will call more loudly in the future. “DUDE, THERE’S SOMETHING OUT OF BALANCE HERE AND YOU NEED TO ADDRESS IT!”
Chakra Balancing at Home
Luckily, there are countless things we can do to support our chakras and our overall energy system. Anything that vibrates at the same resonance as a balanced chakra will help cleanse that chakra.
You can choose to support your chakras with crystals, essential oils, herbs, food, activities, yoga postures, and guided meditations, to name just a few options. Going by colour makes it easy to give your chakras what they need. Red stuff for root, orange stuff for sacral, yellow for solar plexus, green and pink for heart, sky blue for throat, indigo for third eye, and violet, white, and gold for crown.
Do what feels good to you. Give to yourself generously. A big part of chakra balancing is learning to love ourselves and to treat ourselves as kindly as we would a small child. Committing to chakra balancing is a great way to start being good to yourself, which is absolutely critical if you are going to heal yourself.
